Over 1 million property hunters, 13 million pageviews,130,000 property leads, 315 new real estate agent advertisers to Malaysia in March
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 13, 2010  -- Malaysia (, Malaysia’s No. 1 property website today announces its March results in which the company hit remarkable highs with property hunter visitor numbers, real estate agent advertisers and revenues sky rocketing.
Website traffic reached a historic high of 1,100,000 visits to Malaysia to search for properties. This record breaking number represents an astounding 98% increase in visits over the same month in 2009 and a whopping 57% increase from February alone. This can be attributed to the continuing efforts to improve property listing quality, user experience and the recent strategic partnerships forged with classifieds portal, and popular news portal,
These statistics coupled with the number of property enquiries sent to real estate agents and property developers from Malaysia by property hunters suggest a sudden surge of interest in property investment. The website sent a total of 130,000 property enquiries via email, SMS and phone calls to agents and developers in March, a 50% increase from February’s enquiries. This is further reinforced by internal data showing visitors viewing property listings over 4.5 million times in March. A 50% increase from the previous year.
SUCCESS WITH REAL ESTATE AGENTS Malaysia also saw a surge of over 315 new real estate agents paying to advertise on the property classifieds portal in a single month. Underlying the sudden increase in new property agent advertisers is the understanding of changing consumer trends and the growing appreciation of the value of online advertising in delivering quality property buyer, seller and renter leads. These advertisers join the 3,500 strong following of real estate agents already advertising their properties on Malaysia.
“I am thrilled with the continued growth of Malaysia’s popularity amongst property hunters and the contribution an online property classifieds website like ours makes to real estate agent and property developer businesses. The challenge now is to have record months every month,” said Ken Tsurumaru, Country Manager of Malaysia.
CEO of the Group, Shaun di Gregorio said, “It has been a historical month across the network of property portals with Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong websites receiving record breaking highs. We have big plans for the rest of 2010. We are geared for a fantastic growth and I am confident that our talented team will continue to break new grounds.”
